BRN Mobile Site

UX/UI – Figma

Business app in a person's hand
Overview

The Business resource network (BRN) is a service designed to connect aspiring entrepreneurs with mentors who have business ownership experience. This is a concept for how the service might look to mobile viewers.

The Challenge

As the service itself functions similar to a dating app, the challenge is to design a mobile site that matches users while maintaining a professional and inspiring appearance.

Design Choices

There are only three main tabs to view once a user has signed up: Matches, News, and Profile. The user can view who their match is, as well as other potential matches who could help guide them in other areas of business management.

The user can click on the match to view their experience and contact information. As the service only aims to match users together at this point, there is not currently a built in messaging system. It is up to the mentee and mentor to determine how they want to communicate.

The News tab article entries do not feature the same rounded corners as the rest of the mobile site. This is to help distinguish it from the interpersonal aspects of the service. This section is divided into ‘Recent’ and ‘Older News’ so that the user can easily identify information and events that are still relevant.

The profile page is where the user can set up their personal information, as well as list their business information and goals.
